I have enjoyed painting from being a small child and on leaving school I went to Manchester College of Art where I spent four years studying, three of which I studied Fashion and Textile design. On graduation I spent 10 years as a Fashion Designer, before spending the rest of my working life in the Civil Service.

After finishing work in 2000 I was able to spend more time on my painting and enjoy working in watercolour and pastels. Living up in the Pennines on the edge of the Peak District National Park, I am a very keen walker and I get a lot of my inspiration from rambling the moorlands and villages in the area.

I am a member of Godley Art Group and I exhibit with them at various venues as well as at The Peoples Gallery in Stalybridge .
